Heather and Bobby Lee have settled in at their new location.
370 Ocean Avenue
Laguna Beach, California
Trove on 1stdibs

I have yet to meet Heather and Bobby, but from our correspondence, it is clear they are lovely people and I can’t wait to make a trip down south to visit them.   If you are fortunate enough to be in Southern California, plan to make a day of it. There are a number of interesting shops, enticing cafes, a bevy of art galleries…and of course the scenic coastline.

To that end, Heather was kind enough to introduce us to a few of their neighbors…

ZINC CAFE and MARKET – redefines what it means to be a vegetarian. beautiful outdoor seating area, too. live music and wine on weekends. 350 Ocean Avenue.

COUTURE RESALE – just recently opened.  her second location on this street.  this one is very high-end designer resale for men and women–clothing, shoes, handbags by balenciaga, gucci, ann demeulemeester, chanel, hermes, YSL–all two years old or younger. some still with their original price tags on.  the shop actually sits on Ocean Avenue next door to Zinc Cafe but the post address is 303 Broadway. (no website yet.)

ANASTASIA – half the space is a great cafe (great wine selection) and half is fabulous, high-end designer clothes and accessories for women. he is the only one in laguna beach carrying the big hitters: comme des garcon, tao, junya watanabe, limi feu, yohji… very sophisticated. just opened a second location in los angeles. 470 Ocean Avenue.

PETER BLAKE GALLERY – since 1993, certainly the definitive source for modern art in orange county. carries some very recognizable artists: lita alburquerque, charles arnoldi, tony delap, ed moses… has a pretty controversial show up right now by Jorge Dubin. 435 Ocean Avenue.

Sounds like an idyllic day to me!
